VLT is the percent of visible light the tint lets through, so a lower number is darker. Our films come in shades from 5% to 70%.

Arizona holds front side windows to 33% light transmission (plus or minus 3%), measured with the film and the glass together. Back side windows and the rear window have no minimum. Your factory glass is already slightly tinted, so a 35% film can measure darker once it is on the car. That is why we help you choose a shade instead of guessing. See Arizona tint laws.
Most customers tint the whole vehicle, but you can also choose specific windows. Here is what each one does for you.
The driver and front passenger take sun directly. These are held to Arizona’s 33% limit, and ceramic film lets you stay legal while still cutting heat and UV.
This is where most of the glass is on an SUV or minivan, and where passengers sit. Many vehicles have factory privacy glass here, which is dark but does little against heat. See why privacy glass is not heat-rejecting tint.
Arizona allows film only on the top strip of the windshield, with its bottom edge at least 29 inches above the driver’s seat, and it cannot be red or amber. Want to protect the glass itself? See windshield protection film.

Tint spec sheets are full of abbreviations. Here is what they actually tell you.
Visible light transmission. The percent of visible light that passes through. Lower is darker.
Total solar energy rejected. How much of the sun’s total energy the film blocks, including visible light, infrared and UV. Our films range from 35% to 70% depending on the film and shade.
Infrared is the part of sunlight you feel as heat. Our films reject 71% to 95% of it, depending on the film. Apex Ultra rejects 95% in every shade.
Ultraviolet rays fade your interior and age your skin. All of our films block 99%+.
How clear the view is through the film. Ceramic films are clearer than dyed films at the same shade, so you see out better and the glass looks less hazy.
